Iceland's capital city, Reykjavik, (population 170,000) has the feel of a small town even though it's a major European capital. Here I am looking down from from Hallgrimskirkja (Hallgrim's Church), at 210 feet, one of the highest points in the city. On sunny days you can see 20km. (previous page); Bathing in the smelly, sulfuric hot springs of the Blue Lagoon which is just outside of the city.
