1 2 3 4 14 Finding a trip by destination Craving a European adventure? Looking to visit Africa? Check out the TRIP MAP, page 18, where you can zero in on a continent, country, or more specific locale and see if there's a trip at that destination. Finding a trip by adventure activity So you're a trekker at heart? Wouldn't leave the house without your bike? The trip reviews included here (and on our website at www.blue.com) are organized primarily by adventure activity. Choose from trekking, diving, biking, paddling, climbing, safariing, surfing and, new this year, educational trips. Start on our table of contents, on page 9, choose your adventure activity and flip to the desired page. There you'll find our take on the best place to enjoy your selected activity: the *blue pick trip*, other suggestions and a list of outfitters that can help make it happen. Finding a trip by personal parameters All the trips have been rated according to the blue RATING SYSTEM, page 16. To find the adventure that's right for you, determine your budget, experience, fitness level, amount of gear you have (or are prepared to acquire) and time you have to travel. Match your determinants to each trip. It's that easy. Finding the gear you need: your trip specific packing list Follow these lists and you'll never be stuck in the Maldives on a surfing trip without any wax, or worse, without your board! All items in each gear list have been tested in the field and are recommended for their durability and technical strengths. Use the guide, and when a friend invites you on a kayaking expedition that leaves in two days, you'll know exactly what to bring. Can't find the gear you're looking for? Check out www.blue.com for more blue gear packing lists. > > > > 00000 GGGG 000 99999 @
