Paris-based photographer Enrico Dagnino spends eight months a year on the road and has been visiting and photographing Israel since 1994 (Images from the Inside, page 46). No stranger to heartbreaking human conflicts, Enrico has chronicled the chaos of former Yugoslavia, Somalia, Afghanistan and Yemen. When asked to explain the allure of photo- graphing strife-ridden countries, Enrico answers, "It's hard to explain why I take pictures. Sometimes I feel useless. I cannot sit at home and enjoy my life when people just like me are living in fear and pain. All I can do is take photos and try to do something for them." • • • • Contributing Editor Bruce Northam uses Manhattan as his travel-p lanning camp and recently promoted himself from Leisure Analyst to Freedom Advisor.
