But with new materials. bottom contour refinements and three fins. they have evolved into much more manageable crafts. Normally thought of as the ideal learning tool. longboards can actually have limitations. Although they are easier to paddle and catch waves. they can be too big and unwieldy for the inexperienced. But for the rider with some wave knowledge this is an incredible vehicle. a sturdy cruiser with just the right touch of modern improvements. This model is ideal for long. slower-rolling waves. not too big or hollow. and she'll ride the teeniest ripple with grace. This board loves solid. good-size waves. It will get you securely to the bottom of a [edgy reef wave and. depending on what the wave calls for. it can squirt you through a gaping tube. bite into long carves or. if it's a little softer. can be whipped around almost like a shortboard. This would prove to be the staple in anyone's quiver. the do-it-all 01' Faithful. Probably would work as a starter board. too.
